Water, Lifeblood of a Nation

We designed this sculpture to fit the theme “Ties that Bind”. Our water goddess pours clean water to farmers, and flowers and wild mountains, and even a frozen pond for a young hockey player on the back.

We thank VIA Rail for providing the transportation to bring together teams from across Canada. Our train trip across the country was even better than the prize money we won. Guy from Quebec was the winner, and Denis from Outawais came third.

It was a great opportunity for David and me to learn more about sand sculpting, and experience the warm hospitality of Quebec. Our good showing inspired us to set up a sand pile in the yard and prepare for future events.
