We
did this one in the Doubles Category at the Expo Quebec International
Sand Sculpting Contest. Two masked dancers swing around a Haida Raven
totem pole, from which the salmon emerge to join the dance. Once again,
we learned about collapse. Our initial piece had a fine watchman on top
of the pole, but we cut too much away and down he came. We quickly
repacked the top 5 feet of our piece and managed to finish within the
21-hour time limit. |
