In
our return to the event that got us started as a sand team, David and I
were very happy to receive First Place and the Peoples' Choice Award for
this 10 ft. high sculpture.
In spite of losing our mother's head at the end of the first day,
we came up with a pleasing piece. The theme at this national event was "The Best Day of My Life". There were eight teams altogether, from coast to coast. |
We
got to see firsthand the durability of the sand when there was a
powerful thunderstorm at the end of our packup day.
Many fine details from Michel's demo piece were unaffected by the
driving rain and wind which drove everyone on the beach to shelter. |
