This piece evolved from our archway of last year, and we pushed even further. From the original 8-foot tall block, we built it up to an impressive 18 feet. We were fortunate that the snow was very strong and the weather stayed quite cold throughout our carving time. David wrote a poem about a mysterious woman who spreads the frost and snow while people sleep. Here she leaps through the arch of snowflakes and ice crystals. |
