Inaxi Project - Hamburg Hamburg, Germany, 2005 |
|
|
The first project of this winter
took place in Hamburg. There Marjon, the artistic director, came up with a show
on the theme of The Nutcracker. The main centre display was quite ingenious as
all the furniture was greatly oversized, allowing the audience to feel as if
they were on the same scale as the battling toys and mice. A group of Russian sculptors did a wonderful job of the giant living room. David, Carl and Peter arrived a bit late to this project, so worked on the final scenes depicting a baroque garden. |

Snow Queen David sculpted a seated lady of snow in an Art Noveau style and added the fibre optic lighting to the stylized backdrop and her earrings. |
|
Baroque Arch Peter had some fun combining cherubs and a prancing horse atop the final archway of the show. The ribbons of ice are fused, piece by piece, using a warm piece of aluminum to create matching flat, wet surfaces. |
