2001

In June 2001, the Dutch exposition company, Inaxi, decided to build an exhibition of snow- and icesculpting on the French Riviera at Nice.

Our team was invited to join the group of approximately 30 international artists building the show. The sculptures were constructed inside a 12,000 sq. ft. tent (cooled to -10șC) using Swedish ice trucked from north of the Arctic Circle and artificial snow.

More than 100,000 visitors braved the freezing temperatures, bundled in fleecy ponchos provided by Inaxi. The display remained in place for nine weeks over the summer.
